Weather Window: Finally Feeling Like Fall

The crescent moon climbs over Main Street in Wyalusing as skies clear and chilly air returns to the area after weeks of unseasonably warm weather.

Not only have some residents in the Endless Mountains yet to experience a frost this fall, are still watering porch plants and picking late tomatoes from their gardens, they may continue to do so for another week.

Those in higher elevations and normally colder spots have been below 32 degrees a few times, but there is still no hard freeze in the forecast nor even snow flurries.

The eight-day forecast follows:

Wednesday evening 37 partly cloudy

Thursday 55/33 cloudy

Friday 60/45 sunny

Saturday 65/50 some clouds

Sunday 55/38 rain

Monday 50/37 am rain

Tuesday 52/32 cloudy

Wednesday 52/40 some sun

Thursday 60/45 some sun

The EndlessMtnLifestyles.com weather report is based on expected conditions at approximately 1,100 ft elevation in Meshoppen Township, Wyoming County, near the center of the Endless Mountains region. Residents of river towns can generally expect slightly higher temperatures, while those at higher elevations may experience lower temperatures.
