Say ‘Goodbye’ to Excessive Heat

Heat and humidity were building rapidly over western Wyoming County as seen this afternoon from Ol’ Mother Cluckers Farm north of Meshoppen.

The longest stretch yet this summer of 90 degree or higher temperatures will come to an end this evening as thunderstorms and rain showers move through the area.

We will be graced with two cooler days and nights this weekend before temperature and humidity levels return to more seasonable levels next week.

The long-term forecast follows:

Friday night: showers 68

Saturday: 77/54 am shower, then sun

Sunday: 77/53 mostly sunny

Monday: 80/62 mostly sunny

Tuesday: 79/64 showers

Wednesday: 80/64 sun and storms

Thursday: 80/60 sun and storms

Friday: 82/62 partly sunny

Saturday: 80/65 partly sunny
