Clouds were winning their battle with the sun over Athens in Bradford County this afternoon, as seen from Round Top Park. Scattered frost is expected in the Valley tonight.
Photos and Weather synopsis by Rick Hiduk
After the usual teases of almost summer-like winter, spring temperatures took a plunge last week and never really recovered, resulting in some frosty mornings.
Tonight should be the last night of widespread frost, after which a very slow warm up is on the horizon. The best news is a forecast reduction in the showers that seem to sneak up on us every day.
The long-term forecast follows:
Wednesday night: 35 clear
Thursday: 64/40 partly cloudy
Friday: 69/43 partly cloudy
Saturday: 68/45 mostly cloudy
Sunday: 70/45 mostly cloudy
Monday: 70/50 partly sunny
Tuesday: 70/50 showers
Wednesday: 72/51 partly sunny
Thursday: 72/52 mostly sunny
