Weather Window: Sunny Days to Give Way to April Showers

Deposits of debris left by recent high water cling to trees and scrub brush on the islands below the Veterans Memorial Bridge in Towanda on Tuesday as brilliant sunshine attracts a lone angler to the river’s edge.

Temperatures will fluctuate over the next week as Spring continues to work its way into the Endless Mountains. Showers are expected this afternoon into the evening with highs in the 50s.

There is a chance of rain today, Friday and Sunday. A warm-up is forecast after a somewhat chilly weekend.

The eight-day forecast follows:

Wednesday Night’s expected low: 50 (with showers)

Thursday – 70/55 (cloudy)

Friday – 73/40 (am showers)

Saturday – 55/40 (cloudy)

Sunday – 50/40 (rain)

Monday – 55/35 (partly sunny)

Tuesday – 65/40 (partly cloudy)

Wednesday – 70/50 (sunny)

Thursday – 72/50 (sunny)
