Everything looks better basking in sunshine, especially when you haven’t seen the nearest star in our solar system for at least two weeks. After teasing the region with a few delicious rays this morning, clouds finally broke over Tunkhannock (above) today to allow for a partly to mostly sunny afternoon and highs in the low 40s. It didn’t take long for rows of dust covered vehicles to fill the lot at Nostalgia Car Wash (above) in Eaton Township.
Walmart in Eaton Township (above) was as busy as one would expect with only three shopping days left before Christmas.
The Endless Mountains Visitors Center (above) enjoyed bursts of activity today as travelers on Route 6 west of Tunkhannock sought destination information.
The yellow Comfort Inn & Suites in Eaton Township was a literal beacon in Monday afternoon’s bright sunshine. There a chance of some light rain or drizzle this evening. Temperatures are expected to rise into the 50s on Christmas Eve with a chance for steady rains, then trend downward to seasonal or below average readings next week.
