Weather Window: Warm-up After Damp Weekend?

A general brightness over Tunkhannock and Wyoming County as seen from Lemon Township was appreciable today but didn’t quite translate into the midweek warm-up that was predicted.

After a week of below average temperatures, residents of the Endless Mountains are more than ready for legitimate spring weather, not just the tease of a day or two (which never really materialized.)

At least we got a few days to catch up on mowing and garden prep. Don’t count on that this weekend, as rain and chilly temperatures are expected to return Friday evening and continue into early Sunday.

It appears that the jet stream will push north of us next week and bring daily highs in the 70s to near 80 degrees.

The eight-day forecast follows:

Thursday Night’s low – 43 (cloudy)

Friday – 60/48 (late showers)

Saturday – 50/45 (rain)

Sunday – 60/45 (early showers)

Monday – 62/45 (windy)

Tuesday – 71/53 (sunny)

Wednesday – 80/65 (sunny)

Thursday – 81/65 (partly cloudy)

Friday – 80/60 (partly cloudy)

The EndlessMtnLifestyles.com weather report is based on expected conditions at approximately 1,100 ft elevation in Meshoppen Township, Wyoming County, near the center of the Endless Mountains region. Residents of river towns can generally expect slightly higher temperatures, while those at higher elevations may experience lower temperatures.
