Downtown Wyalusing in Bradford County seemed as dreary as any town in the Endless Mountains on Tuesday, despite the ongoing renovation of Main Street (above) and the brightening of many storefronts and classic building facades.

Temperatures will hold steady early today as winds shift from the west. Snow is predicted to break out across the region after midnight Wednesday as temperatures plummet and low pressure reaches the coast. Two to four inches may accumulate by mid-morning Thursday, with higher totals to the east.

Three cold days will give way to milder weather again by the weekend, with no major storms expected after tomorrow.

The eight-day forecast follows:

Wednesday 47/25 (cloudy/snow late)

Saturday45/35 (pm sun)
