NTRPDC Seeks Presenters for ‘Career Day’ at Towanda

Northern Tier Regional Planning and Development Commission is planning Career Day at Towanda Area High School On Friday, March 20 and looking for businesses in the region to participate as presenters.

  • All schools in Bradford and Sullivan counties are invited to the event.

  • The morning session will be from 9-11 am, and the afternoon session will be 12-2 pm. 

  • A catered lunch will be provided for all presenters from 11 am to noon.

  • Presenters are asked to discuss with students their personal educational, training, and vocational history, the overall and day to day responsibilities of the position they are representing, any ongoing training and education they must maintain, and opportunities for advancement.

  • One of the goals of Career Day is to help students connect their current education to future occupations. Staff will assist students with locating employers they are interested in talking with.

Please RSVP your intent to participate to Jody McCarty (mccarty@northerntier.org or 570-265-1516 by Friday, February 21 so that we can plan accordingly.

All presenters will need their PA Criminal History Clearance and their PA child Abuse Clearance. These will need forwarded to Jody McCarty prior to the event. If you have presented in the past, these clearances are already on record and there is no need to reapply or submit them again. If you need more information on how to apply for clearances, please contact Jody McCarty.

The inclement weather day for the event is March 24.
