The Meshoppen United Methodist Church will provide an evening of Gospel music, praise and worship on Saturday, July 15, beginning at 7 pm. The public is invited and encouraged to stay after the show for cookies and fellowship with friends and members of Good News (above).
Good News is a mixed trio whose members include Al and Laurie Magill, singing lead and tenor, and Russ Sears as baritone. Traveling through Pennsylvania, New York and beyond, the group’s mission is to spread the gospel message and to encourage the church in their daily walk with the Lord.
The Good New repertoire presents a variety of styles, including the old gospel standards and hymns, their original compositions and acapella, as well as some new and powerful renditions, presented in a way that will lead the audience in a meaningful worship experience.
