Patrons of the Harford Fair endured some sultry days and nights this year until Thursday’s rains brought some relief from the humidity and more characteristic “fair weather.” For a second year in a row, fairgoers had the option of being shuttled to the fair from the parking lot in comfortable wagons.

Taking advantage of a shuttle ride from the parking lot to the fairgrounds are (from left) Erica James, Evelynn Skellett, Peter Robinson, and Shellie Robinson from Endwell. It was the family’s second year visiting the fair, and Evelyn was already excited to see the animals and get on some rides.

Members of the Lenoxville Band know how to get an audience: Stop passersby in their tracks and play such tow-tapping tunes that the kids start dancing.

Addy and Ben Swartwood (foreground) were most excited about eating because Mom and Day, Matt and Amber, told them that they could go on the rides after they were done.

The poultry house was a popular venue for families, and (from left) Eli, McKenna and Libby Zick of New Milford were enthralled by the many varieties of chickens.

Members of the Lone Ryderz drew an appreciative crowd under the shade pavilion on Tuesday night with their mix of classic and southern rock.
