Expect Sloppy Slap in the Face from Mother Nature

The sun shown brightly from nearly cloudless skies in southern Susquehanna County yesterday, as seen in a few random shots from Springville, Dimock and Lathrop townships.

Those in search of warmer days will continue to bemoan, “Where the heck is Spring?” over the next week. Temperatures fluctuating between below-normal highs in the 30s and 40s with overnight lows below freezing will combine with periodic waves of moisture to make weather prediction especially tricky. Will it be snow or rain, sleet or freezing rain? Here’s our best guess.

The eight day forecast follows:

Sunday: sprinkles to flurries44/30

Monday: partly sunny48/32

Tuesday: rain 43/42

Wednesday: am showers50/26

Thursday: partly cloudy 40/30

Friday: am snow 40/30

Saturday: snow showers 35/25

Sunday: am snow showers 40/26

Monday: snow to rain 40/35
