Updates were presented about the ‘2016 River of Year’ sojourns sponsored by EMHR, including the youth sojourn on the North Branch Water Trail from Sayre to Sugar Run held over the weekend of May 14. The event was deemed very successful despite quickly changing spring weather. More 60 high school and adult participants participated in the three-day paddling trip.

Following the business meeting, EMHR members enjoyed a tour of the historic Baldwin House and grounds and the adjacent Sullivan County Museum. The Victorian flower gardens were exceptionally beautiful with many flowers, trees and shrubs in full bloom.
