Proclamations marking Child Abuse Prevention Month in Bradford and Wyoming counties were signed over the past two weeks by the commissioners of both counties. Rep. Tina Pickett’s office was represented at brief ceremonies in both Tunkhannock and Towanda.

It was an honor to join the Bradford County commissioners at the courthouse where, as part of the observance, 182 blue pinwheels are now on display outside representing each Bradford County child who received abuse-related services during 2022,” Pickett stated. “It is a sobering number that indicates there is still much work to be done in preventing child abuse in our local communities. Every child is special and needs our care and protection.”
