Cello Fury will bring their powerhouse cello rock to the Keystone Theater in Towanda as part of the Bradford County Regional Arts Council’s Nightlife on the Susquehanna Series.
The Bradford County Regional Arts Council (BCRAC) is pleased to announce the line-up for the 2014-15 Live Performance Season, including the Nightlife on the Susquehanna Series, the Thursdays at the Rialto Series, and the Schooltime Youth Series.
Once again this year, the Nightlife on the Susquehanna Series features a six-show schedule with the option to create an individualized series with four of the shows on the bill
The 2014-15 season affords a broad spectrum of entertainment with performances by Latin guitarist David Burgess, jazz saxophonist Dave Liebman, Wise Crackers comedy review, Marc Berger’s American roots music, Whiskey Tango Sideshow with a traditional Burlesque-style performance, and powerhouse cello rock by Cello Fury.
Returning to BCRAC’s live performance offerings is the Thursdays at the Rialto Series, which will kick off on Thursday, Oct. 9, at the Rialto Theatre in Canton. The dynamic series features four fantastic performances by some of the best regional groups. Penny Eckman will present “Penny Sings Patsy” at the Rialto in October. Kristin Fisher will delight the audience with a holiday performance in November. Kilrush will rock the Rialto in March, and Joe Cavallaro’s Dixieland Jazz Band will wrap up the series in April.
This year’s Schooltime Youth Series will feature three powerful performances by the national touring theatre company, ArtsPower. In October, the ensemble will bring “The Monster Who Ate My Peas,” based on the award-winning book, to the Keystone and Sayre Theatre stages.
In March, students in grades 3 through 8 have a chance to see the powerful performance, “My Heart in a Suitcase,” which is based on the true story of Anne Lehmann Fox and her experiences as a 12-year old fleeing Germany.
ArtsPower will wrap up the Youth Series in May with “Dog Loves Books,” which is based on Louise Yates’s New York Times bestseller.
