Suzanne Robinson
Suzanne Robinson passed away at home on Feb. 2 surrounded by her family, which meant everything to her. She was born in Tunkhannock and also lived in Arizona, Colorado and Virginia. While in Arizona, she ran an interactive murder mystery theater company and came back to Pennsylvania to start another in the Poconos.
She really loved to entertain and make people happy, and sometimes that meant dressing them up in funny hats and turning them into suspects. After moving back to the area, she worked with the Electric Theater Company in Scranton and also performed with the Dietrich Radio Players and in stage productions like “Auntie Mame” in 2013 (top, seated right) at the Dietrich Theater.
What Suzanne loved best was her family, and she carried on the tradition of big dinners with relatives and friends, where everyone was always welcome.
She is survived by her son James Jenkins; daughter Jennifer Jenkins Douthett and Scott Douthett; her grandchildren Megan and Derek Snover, T.J. Jenkins, and Emma Douthett. She was especially close to her niece Brenda and Steven Hadlick and their children Mariah and Justin. She enjoyed visits with her nieces and nephews Aaron Case, Jana Sawyer and Calista Holt, and her Uncles Herb and Joe Dymond. She was predeceased by her husband John Robinson, her sister Connie Washburn, her brother David Case, and her parents Alice and Clarence Case.
The viewing will be held on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2015 at Kukuchka Funeral Home in Tunkhannock at noon with the service at 2 pm.
Donations can be made to the Tunkhannock Public Library and the Dietrich Theater.
