TOWANDA – Beginning this month, Rep. Tina Pickett will move her satellite office hours normally held on select Wednesdays in Sullivan County to a morning schedule. In addition, due to the New Year’s holiday falling on a Wednesday, staff will be available at that location on the third and fifth Wednesdays during January.

“In meeting the needs of our local residents in Sullivan County, we want to make our satellite office hours as accessible as possible,” Pickett said. “I encourage anyone who has a state-government related need – whether it is an issue with PennDOT licensing or registrations, inquiries about state programs or the latest on state legislation to contact my office. We are here to help in whatever way we can.”

Specifically, Pickett’s staff will be on hand to help constituents from 10 am until noon on Wednesday, Jan. 15, and Wednesday, Jan. 29, at the commissioners’ office in the Sullivan County Courthouse in Laporte.

Hours for her Susquehanna County satellite office on the second and fourth Wednesdays will not change. For this month, staff will be available on Wednesday, Jan. 8, and Wednesday, Jan. 22, from 10 am until 2 pm at Flynn’s Consignment Shop, which is located along State Route 706, in Lawton. Residents can reach the office by calling 570-934-2557.

Pickett’s staff can also help with a number of other items, including:

• Information about legislation and new laws.
• Driver’s license and vehicle registration applications and renewals.
• Assistance with PennDOT paperwork (lost cards, changes, corrections, special registration plates, vanity plates and temporary placards for disabled persons).
• PACE and PACENET applications for seniors.
• State tax forms.
• Student aid applications.
• Referrals to agencies to resolve state-related matters.

Pickett operates her main full-time offices at 321 Main St., Towanda, phone 570-265-3124 and 106 West Packer Ave., Sayre, phone 570-888-9011.
