Join Susquehanna County Master Gardener and retired State Forester Jim Kessler (above) for a hands-on basic pruning class on Saturday, March 14 at 9 am at a private residence in Clifford. This class is offered in partnership with the Montrose Area Adult School.

When should I prune? How should I prune? Where should I prune? Why and why not prune? These and other pruning questions will be demonstrated on common trees, fruit trees, and shrubs. After you understand the basics of pruning you will be able to take your knowledge to most trees and shrubs for better growth, durability and health.

Pruning Basics will take place at 348 Old Bloxham Farm Lane, Clifford PA.  Directions will be emailed shortly before class. Class will be held rain or shine so dress appropriately! Limit: 20 students. Fee: $5.
