Pickett to Host Concealed Carry Seminar on April 25

For local residents who have not yet been able to attend one of Rep. Tina Pickett’s (Bradford/Sullivan/Susquehanna) popular concealed carry seminars or those wanting a refresher, she will host the next one at the Wyalusing Fire Hall on Wednesday, April 25, from 6 to 8 pm.

Now more than ever, it’s important for residents to have the most up-to-date information regarding our state’s firearms laws,” Pickett said. “This educational seminar has been very well attended in past years because of local residents’ close attention to the law and the ability for them to ask questions. I appreciate the great response to these seminars, and encourage anyone who hasn’t attended one or would like to refresh their memories to sign up.”

Guest speaker will be Bradford County Sheriff C.J. Walters.

In addition to an overview of the state’s firearms laws, the seminar will include information on how to safely interact with police when carrying a firearm, as well as the legal aspects of Pennsylvania’s Castle Doctrine, which allows a homeowner to use deadly force if necessary when threatened by an armed intruder.

The fire hall is located along Senate Street in Wyalusing.

Registration is required for this event and can be made by going online at www.RepPickett.com, or by calling her Towanda office at 570-265-3124. Seating is limited. Light refreshments will be served
