Penn State Offering Real Estate Prep Courses at Towanda

Ready for a career in real estate? Then you need the right credentials on your resume. Show the world that you have what it takes to achieve, to innovate, to go further, and to do more. Penn State Wilkes-Barre Continuing Education will be offering Real Estate Preparation Courses in the fall of 2018 at the Lehman campus and the Northern Tier Center in Towanda.

Real Estate Fundamentals, a 30 hour course, will introduce you to the language, principles, and laws that govern the language of real estate in Pennsylvania. Real Estate Practice, a 45 hour course, is an introduction to all facets of the real estate business. This includes a survey of areas of specialization, with emphasis on the role of a real estate agent in the residential brokerage.

Courses will be available at Penn State Wilkes-Barre Northern Tier Center in Towanda or Penn State Wilkes-Barre in Lehman via Poly-Com video conferencing technology.

Real Estate Fundamentals will be held on Mondays, beginning September 10th running through November 12th from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. and is $199.00.

Real Estate Practice will be held Wednesdays, beginning September 12th running through November 14th and Mondays & Wednesdays, November 19th through December 5th from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. No class will be held on Wednesday, November 21st. Real Estate Practice is $299.00.

One textbook is used for both courses and is the responsibility of the participant. This information will be available prior to the start of the class or by contacting the Penn State Wilkes-Barre Northern Tier Center. Courses are approved by the Pennsylvania Real Estate Commission and are required to sit for the Real Estate Salesperson’s Examination.
