Old Mill Village Museum in New Milford, Susquehanna County, will be the place to go for family fun during its annual Fall Festival this Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 30 and Oct. 1.

The village will take on its autumn personality as the popular “Pumpkintown” characters make their seasonal debut, setting the stage for the rest of the day’s activities.

Amongst the pumpkin people, visitors will be entertained with harvest-time games, a scavenger hunt for kids 12 years-old and younger, hay rides, and face painting. There will also be spinning, soap making, and blacksmith demonstrations.

On Sunday, there will be a special concert performed by The Lenoxville Band beginning at 2 pm. Be sure to make time to tour the grounds, which feature numerous buildings, such as the old post office (above), from New Milford and the surrounding area that were saved from demolition and moved to the site over the years.

The festival will take place from noon until 5pm on the village grounds, Route 848, one-mile south of New Milford. Admission is $5 for adults and free for children under 12.
