Fire and ambulance personnel from Tunkhannock, Springville, and Factoryville responded to a vehicular accident on Route 29 in Lemon Township, Wyoming County, near the Susquehanna County line around 6 pm Wednesday evening.
Additional companies were placed on stand-by as crews on the scene dealt with heavy entrapment and an apparent fatality. That stretch of highway was closed for a number of hours while Pennsylvania State Police conducted a reconstruction of the accident.
According to public postings on Facebook, Francis Marshall of Springville and a young son were among the injured. Marshall’s condition is regarded by family members as serious, while the injuries to the nephew were regarded as minor.
On WNEP 16’s noon report, Chad Yakoski of Mehoopany was named as the fatality.
