Rep. Jonathan Fritz (Susquehanna/Wayne) will be hosting a Senior Scam Seminar on Thursday, Sept. 20, at 10:30 a.m., at the Blue Ridge Senior Center, 81 Elizabeth St., Great Bend.
“Every day seniors are a risk of being taken advantage of by scammers,” Fritz stated. “This seminar is designed to both inform and educate seniors on how to recognize a scam and what to do in the event that they end up being the victim of one.”
The goal of the seminars is to make Pennsylvania’s older population aware of the latest scams targeting the senior population; teach them how to avoid being victimized; and make sure they know who to call when they are concerned about their safety and well-being.
These events are free to attend. For more information, contact Fritz’s offices at (570) 278-3374 in Montrose or (570) 253-5533 in Honesdale.
For those who cannot attend this seminar, Fritz will be hosting a second Senior Scam Seminar on Thursday, Oct. 25, at 10:30 a.m., located at the Camp Ladore Pavilion, 287 Owego Turnpike, Waymart.
