Fall Festival & Pumpkintown Return to Old Mill Village

Submitted Article

The ever-popular Pumpkin People will be out and about the Old Mill Village grounds to welcome all guests who arrive for the annual Fall Festival & Pumpkintown event on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 28 and 29, from noon until 5 pm.

These beloved Pumpkintown friends – cleverly costumed, pumpkin-headed figures – are just part of the day’s harvest time activities and attractions that celebrate the autumn season at the heritage site located at 5774 State Route 848, just outside of New Milford.

Among the vendors and displays, there will be a farmer’s market stocked with delicious, homegrown produce. Kid-friendly games, including a scavenger hunt, will entertain the young ones and keep them smiling throughout the day, along with hayrides and other happenings perfect for the whole family.

For those enjoying the festival on Sunday, be sure to catch the Cellar Yellers (above) at 3 pm, as they sing their hearts out for the crowd.

Admission is $5 for ages 12 and above, and $2 for ages 5-11. The village buildings will also be open for touring during the festival.
