After having to cancel their time-honored tradition for the last two years, the Factoryville Fire Company Auxiliary (FFCA) is thrilled to announce the return of their annual Lenten Pizza Sale, held each Friday beginning March 4 through April 15.
These freshly made, square (Old Forge Style) pizzas are available in red or white varieties (complete with homemade, authentic Italian sauce) and cost $12 each for Plain and $1 more for each added topping. Optional toppings for red pizzas include pepperoni, mushrooms, broccoli, extra cheese, and onion. Optional toppings for white pizzas include broccoli and onions. In addition to the pizzas, FFCA is also offering homemade halushki in pint ($4.00) or quart ($8.00) containers.
Anyone wishing to order in advance may call (570) 945-5769, beginning at 3 p.m. each Friday afternoon. Persons interested in ordering in-person and anyone picking up previously ordered items may stop by the Factoryville Fire Company (412 College Avenue, Factoryville, PA) from 3 to 7 p.m. each Friday through April 15.
For the duration of this event, FFCA personnel will be accepting pre-orders for pints ($4) or quarts ($8) of Cream of Broccoli Soup. This soup will also be homemade and available for pick-up only on Friday, April 15.
All proceeds from this fundraising event will benefit additional FFCA projects, which eventually provide direct donations to or support for the Factoryville Fire Company, both the fire-fighting portion of the organization, as well as, the emergency medical services portion, of that same organization.
FFCA is always looking for volunteers. If you would like to support your community and have an interest in cooking or hosting events, maybe FFCA is a place for you. FFCA requests each member commit to the organization by contributing $5 for a two-year membership.
