Accepting a donation from Dandy Mini Marts for the 2023 Susquehanna Summer Solstice Festival are Festival Committee member Brooks Eldredge-Martin (left) and BCRAC Executive Director Elaine Poost. The event sponsorship by Dandy Mini Marts connects two historical sites developed by French Royalists in Bradford County’s early history. The donation was delivered at the Wysox Dandy Mart (background), which is the historic early 1800s Piollet Mansion. The Piollet family settled in Wysox because of its proximity to French Azilum, which was planned as a safe haven for Queen Marie Antoinette. The 2023 Susquehanna Summer Solstice Festival celebrating the arts, music, and the environment will be held at French Azilum from June 16 to 18.
