Members of the Countryside Conservancy are excited to introduce the White Rock Farm Preserve – their newest, and at 107 acres, their largest preserve to date. Located in Dimock Township, it’s also their first preserve in Susquehanna County.

The Conservancy owns and manages an additional 510 acres in Lackawanna and Wyoming counties, the majority of which is open to the public for passive recreational use. 920 acres are also protected by the Conservancy in the same three counties via conservation easements.

Additional details about the White Rock Farm Preserve and updates on Phase 3 of their Trolley Trail construction project in La Plume will be shared at their Annual Meeting & Stewardship Award Ceremony next Wednesday, May 1 at 7 pm in Evans Hall, Keystone College.

This year’s stewardship award winner is the benefactor behind the donation of the White Rock Farm Preserve, Mr. Barry Yoselson. He worked with Countryside Conservancy for 7-plus years to navigate various challenges in the conservation process. The Conservancy is truly grateful for Mr. Yoselson’s strong commitment to preserving his beloved land and for his patience with the process.

The event is free and coffee, wine and desserts will be provided. All are encouraged to attend and show their support.

Celebrating 25 years in operation, Countryside Conservancy protects and connects green space in and near the Tunkhannock Creek watershed for the public benefit, now and for future generations.
