It’s time to shake off those winter blues on Saturday, February 17 with the Dushore Area Business Association’s annual Winter Wine & Chocolate Walk.

The adult-themed event from noon until 6pm features the perfect combination of palate-pleasing wines and tasty chocolate surprises that can be enjoyed while perusing the downtown area businesses.

Each shop or establishment on the walk will be hosting a different winery and unique chocolate creation to sample and savor. Whether stopping by all of them or choose just a few to experience, it is a great opportunity to forget about the winter weather, sample some great flavors, and get to know the local businesses and their owners.

Participating businesses include Jolly Trolley, who will not only be hosting Lopez Winery, but also Tastefully Simple, Pampered Chef, and Norma Lees Fudge. The featured chocolate will be Jolly Truffles. Mountain Lake Winery will have its wines at MaryBeth’s WestSide Deli along with Highland Chocolates. It will feature a variety of specialty desserts. P. Dean Homer Funeral Home will have award-winning wines from Grovedale Winery along with Kurt Making Whoopie (Pies). Guests will find that a chocolate fountain at Robin Real Estate will pair nicely with the tastings of Winterland Winery, while chocolate desserts and Civil War Cider and Hidden Creek Winery samples will be the draw at The Dushore Hotel. Staggering Unicorn Winery will be on hand at Dushore Market along with Lancaster Chocolates. And Happy Jacks All in One will play host to Three Dogs Vmo and feature candy making as its tasty treat.

Along with all the wine tasting, chocolate indulging, and shopping opportunities, there will also be a silent auction sponsored by the Red Rock Almumni from 9am to 4pm at the Sullivan County Library on Center Street. Still wanting more? Be sure to pre-register at Pam’s Restaurant for the Sip & Paint which begins at 1:30pm at the restaurant. The event is limited to 20 people.

The business alliance asks that all who attend please drink responsibly and make sure a ride is arranged before coming to the event if consuming alcohol.

For more information, stop by the Jolly Trolley or MaryBeth’s WestSide Deli.
