Northern Tier Industry & Education Consortium (NTIEC) is a local grassroots organization founded in 1993 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit school-to-work organization. We are currently searching for a qualified educational coordinator to join our Montrose office. If you love making a difference in a youth’s life, then this job just might be for you!
The successful candidate will focus primarily on developing and expanding our Youth Apprenticeship Program. Responsibilities will include enrolling local businesses and recruiting high school students from several NEPA school districts into the program; assisting employers with training for workplace mentors; working with teachers, students and employers to plan training and monitoring progress at both the worksite and school; assisting employers in providing appropriate feedback to students and grading student’s progress at the worksite.
Qualifications for this position include but are not limited to: college degree and/or business/industry experience is desired but not required (an individual with life experiences, initiative, personality, ethics and a desire to serve the needs of young people will be considered); self-starter and detail-oriented; demonstrated ability to collaborate across organizations; excellent communication skills; experience in career counseling.
