Oktoberfest Planned in Dushore

The Dushore Area Business Association (DABA) will conduct the third annual Oktoberfest from noon to 6 pm on Saturday, Oct. 7.

Family fun will include hay wagon rides, vendors, food and music. Highlights will include a mustache and beard competition, scarecrow decorating contest, a cornhole tournament, and pumpkin decorating. Entry information can be found on the DABA Facebook page.

Adults are invited to visit booths hosted by Winterland Winery, Lopez Winery, Civil War Cidery and Hidden Creek Winery.

Entertainment will include John Stevens and the Double Shot Polka Band from noon to 2 pm.

The Mustache & Beard Competition will be held at MaryBeth’s WestSide Deli at 5 pm. Entry fee is $5.

T-shirts and commemorative mugs can be purchased at the DABA Booth

The scarecrow decorating contest will take place at Dushore Market parking lot from 9 am to noon, with judging from noon to 5 pm.

The corn hole tournament will be held in the Guthrie Clinic parking lot, starting at 1 pm. There is a $20 entry fee per two person team.

Pumpkin painting will be held throughout the afternoon at Dushore Ag.
