The Bradford County Regional Arts Council (BCRAC) announces the 2017 Endless Mountains Film Festival and invites filmmakers of all ages from the area and beyond to submit their films. Films must be submitted by 4 pm on Friday, July 21. Winning films will be screened at the Festival Awards Ceremony on Thursday, Aug. 10 at 6:30 pm at the Sayre Theatre in Sayre.
Each film will be reviewed by a panel of judges who will make their decisions based on the originality, creativity, and technical skills demonstrated by the filmmaker. The top films in each category will be awarded a cash prize and will be shown in their entirety at the Festival Awards Ceremony. At the panel’s discretion, certain films may be granted “official selection” status, and made available online for public viewing. Portions of other entries will be shown in a montage reel at the festival.
Films will be accepted in the following categories:
- Youth – Ages 15 and under; 8 minutes or less
- Adult – Ages 16 and up; 20 minutes or less
- Aspiring – Ages 18 and up; up to 45 minutes
Comedy or drama films must have a discernible plot. Documentary films must be about a real-life subject; and the film must have the intent to document an event or subject, or inform the audience of a subject or topic. Films must remain within the length requirement, and have language and subject matter appropriate to a general audience.
Submissions are subject to a $15 fee. Filmmakers in the Youth and Adult categories must reside within 100 miles of Towanda. Our Aspiring category is open to all filmmakers from anywhere. Each film must be accompanied by a Submission Form, which may be accessed on the BCRAC website, www.bcrac.org, by clicking on the festival logo or by calling the BCRAC office at 570-268-ARTS (2787).

The Endless Mountains Film Festival, a program of the BCRAC, was created in 2006 “to promote and encourage the creative and pioneering spirit of people working in the digital arts.” The EMFF is supported in part by grants from the United Way of Bradford County and the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts.
