Sayre Theatre Marquee Glow to Get Stronger This Fall

There is a light at the end of the proverbial tunnel, and it is finally making its way to Elmer Avenue in front of the Sayre Theatre. After months of designs, fundraising, meetings, budget approvals and tons of community support, the Bradford County Regional Arts Council and BCRAC Sayre Theatre Marquee Committee are excited to reveal a portion of the new marquee that will grace the front of the Historic Sayre Theatre.

Construction activity has ramped up with foundation work, brick and mortar repairs and façade cleaning in preparation for the marquee structure and pillars to be erected before the arrival and installation of the marquee panels.

During the final weeks of August, Sayre Theatre Marquee committee members visited Bartush Sign Company of Orwigsburg to give final approval for the new marquee design.  Officials estimate all portions of the construction will be completed before the end of October.
