Local Legions Collaborate to Assist Flood Victims


American Legion members from Tunkhannock (457) and Black Walnut (510) have joined forces to conduct a collection of non-perishable items for victims of historic flooding in Louisiana.

Penn’s Best Transportation Services of Meshoppen has made two trailers available for the event, which will begin at 8 am on Saturday, Sept. 10 in the parking lot of Perkin’s Restaurant, 615 State Route 6, east of Tunkhannock.
