Skies occasionally brightened over these farms in Asylum Township on Wednesday afternoon, only to darken and produce more drizzle and showers. This soggy pattern, which began last week, seems poised to dominate the weather scene for at least another week.

Produce growers, landscapers and others throughout the Endless Mountains who need to get outdoors are frustrated by “nuisance moisture” – stretches of rain showers with no drying time in between.

The long range forecast offers barely a two-day respite before intermittent rain returns to the region. The saving grace? It’s finally going to get warmer. The eight-day forecast is below:

Wednesday’s night’s low 45 (cloudy)

Thursday60/45 (cloudy)

Friday60/45 (rain)

Saturday66/47 (am showers)

Sunday62/40 (am showers)

Monday – 70/43 (mostly sunny)

Tuesday75/50 (partly cloudy)

Wednesday 77/55 (showers)

Thursday74/50 (showers)

The EndlessMtnLifestyles.com weather report is based on expected conditions at approximately 1,100 ft elevation in Meshoppen Township, Wyoming County, near the center of the Endless Mountains region. Residents of river towns can generally expect slightly higher temperatures, while those at higher elevations may experience lower temperatures. Send us your Weather Window photos.
