The Bradford County Commissioners ordered all flags at county buildings to half-staff on March 10 in honor of Tom Fairchild, who passed away on March 5 at the age of 92. The commissioners honored Fairchild as a veteran and POW, as well as for his service to county. Fairchild served eight years as Bradford County Treasurer and 16 years as Bradford County Sheriff.
