Getting Ahead of the Storm

Construction crews of all kinds were out in full force across the region on Tuesday. trying to get as much done on numerous projects before a long holiday weekend and an impending snowstorm. In Towanda, there were crews along Main Street installing a sidewalk at the Veterans Memorial Park and working on the borough’s new parking garage between Bridge and Pine streets (above). The reward for all that hard work will likely be a snow day and an early break for Thanksgiving. Towanda weather forecaster Wayne Vanderpool is predicting 3 to 5 inches for the Bradford County Seat, while a bit more is expected in Montrose, Tunkhannock, and Laporte.
