Two students from Montrose Area School District in Susquehanna County and four from Northeast Bradford School District in Bradford County recently embarked on a seven-week hospital internship program at Endless Mountains Health Systems (EMHS) in Montrose.

The program is administered through Northern Tier Industry & Education Consortium (NTIEC) and affords students an up-close and personal look at the careers available to them in the healthcare industry.

For the next several weeks, students will go to EMHS one day per week and rotate through various departments to see the different aspects of the hospital’s operation.

Our hope is to give our students as much exposure as possible to the endless number of careers available to them in the healthcare industry right here in their own backyard.” stated Deb Tierney, educational coordinator at NTIEC.

Students and parents interested in learning more about this program or NTIEC’s other programs may call 570-278-5038, visit www.ntiec.com online, or like Northern Tier Industry & Education Consortium on Facebook.
