While some might not appreciate the buzz in the air along the river banks between Wysox and Asylum Townships in Bradford County or the traffic that accompanies it, there’s no denying that Wysox is at one of the current epicenters of nature gas development in the Endless Mountains. On June 3, cranes at the Lehigh Valley Railroad sand depot on the Wysox Township side of the Susquehanna River flanked cranes on the Asylum Township side of the river that are used in the building of the massive Liberty Power Plant that will directly utilize natural gas from the region to power more than a million homes.
