Nine-year-old Max McClain of donated 8 cases of water to the Meshoppen Volunteer Fire Department during the recent heatwave and is challenging the community to donate cases of water to their local fire departments as well. The Elk Lake Elementary School student (perched in the driver’s seat of the firetruck) was thanked by (standing, from left) Pat Trowbridge, Blaise Cleveland, Chris Carney, Stephanie Carney, Ryan Tuttle and Nate Sheldon.
