The Walls Come Crumbling Down

It was a sad sight for many residents of Meshoppen on Wednesday afternoon as an excavator tore into the backside of the old Tyler Hospital. For others, it was a sign of progress. The larger part of the building was constructed about 125 years ago as the Kennard Hotel and served most recently as the KenMar Furniture Store. New owner Bill Ruark intends to construct a truck and car wash on the property after the demolition is complete.
