The cycle of Friday into Saturday rain continued this week, but a bit of a change is expected over the next two weeks, as temperatures plunge below freezing and pretty much stay there.

Even though Friday might be bright and sunny, it will be quite cold, and pancake ice should be drifting on the river again.

The long-term forecast follows:

Saturday: 40/32 drizzle and fog

Sunday: 36/16 am clouds

Monday: 30/27 flurries

Tuesday: 42/32 late mix

Wednesday: 35/28 cloudy

Thursday: 26/20 cloudy

Friday: 25/20 sunny

Saturday: 33/25 am clouds

Sunday: 35/25 partly cloudy

Monday: 31/24 cloudy
