Reps. Clint Owlett (Tioga/Bradford/Potter) and Tina Pickett (Bradford/Sullivan/Susquehanna) will host a concealed carry seminar in Bradford County on Thursday, July 19, from 6-8 p.m. at the Troy Sale Barn, 50 Ballard St. in Troy. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.

I am excited to team up with Rep. Pickett to bring you this seminar, which focuses on the state’s concealed carry laws and other firearm-related regulations,” said Owlett. “Whether you are a current gun owner or are considering becoming one, I encourage you sign up and join us.”

These seminars have been very popular across the Northern Tier,” said Pickett. “Residents who have previously attended these forums have attested to the valuable information offered. We urge those who would like to gain additional information or to refresh what they have already gained from these seminars to join us this evening.”

The seminar will feature Bradford County Sheriff C.J. Walters. He will provide information about Pennsylvania’s firearms laws, offer information on how to safely interact with police when carrying a firearm and the legal aspects of Pennsylvania’s Castle Doctrine, which allows a homeowner to use deadly force if necessary when threatened by an armed intruder.
