Mark your calendars! The Penn State Extension Master Gardeners of Bradford and Sullivan Counties will begin their free Public Class series on Tuesday, May 15, 6:15 pm at the Penn State Extension Office, 200 Main St., Suite 3 in Towanda. The topic for May will be “Gardening in Containers” and will feature local garden writer Duane Campbell.  Mr. Campbell is a syndicated garden columnist featured in the Daily Review, and a knowledgeable container gardener.  Both flowers and vegetables can be grown in containers, so if you’re looking to expand your use of containers this year don’t miss this presentation!

There is no charge for the class; however, space is limited, so please register in advance by emailing the Master Gardeners at bradfordmg@psu.edu or calling the Extension Office at 570-265-2896.

The Master Gardener Public Classes run monthly May through September.  All classes except for the May class listed above will be held at the Master Gardener Demonstration Garden on 4th St. in Towanda, across from the YMCA pool.  Please bring your lawn chair to the outdoor classes.
